Routines
A morning routine that survives real life
5 August 2026
A routine works not when it's perfect, but when it can be done on your worst morning. So start with the minimal version: three steps, not ten.
Make the steps visible — pictures or a list on the door. It's easier for a child to follow an external cue than to hold a sequence in their head.
Add one anchor — something always the same: the same song, the same order. An anchor reduces the number of decisions and arguments.
Judge the routine not by whether it was executed flawlessly, but by whether there were fewer conflicts.
Uni is educational and supportive in nature and does not replace a consultation with a doctor or psychologist.
