Welcome to Uni. We are Majestara Development Limited, company number HE 456272, Latitudes Commercial Offices Phase C, Acropoleos 23, office 205, 7000, Meneou, Larnaca, Cyprus ("we," "us," "our"), a Cyprus-based company operating the Uni mobile application ("App"). We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and the privacy of your family.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our App and services ("Services"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide directly.
- Account information: name, email address, password (stored encrypted), optional phone number
- Parent/guardian information: age or date of birth (18+ requirement), city/country, parenting status, stress triggers and challenges, communication preferences
Child-related information (provided by parents only). We do NOT collect any information directly from children. All child-related information is voluntarily provided by parents/guardians aged 18+ to help us personalize stress management recommendations. We comply with COPPA and similar international regulations.
- Child's age or age range, to provide age-appropriate parenting tips
- Child's name, to personalize tips and experiences
- Developmental stage and behavioral patterns as described by the parent
- Communication challenges — specific scenarios where the parent experiences stress
Usage and progress information: tip completion status (used for refund verification), progress tracking data, downloaded materials, content ratings and feedback.
Payment and subscription information: subscription tier, payment method type (App Store, Google Play or Stripe — we do NOT store full payment card details), transaction history, billing information collected by the payment processor.
Communications and support: content of emails, chat messages or support tickets, and survey responses you voluntarily provide.
1.2 Information collected automatically: device information (type, model, operating system, device identifiers), IP address (for approximate location, security, and VAT or other tax liabilities), browser information, app version, app interactions, session data, content viewed, search queries, crash reports, error logs and performance metrics.
1.3 Cookies and tracking technologies: essential, analytics, preference and performance cookies. You can manage cookie preferences through your device settings; disabling essential cookies may affect App functionality.
1.4 Information from third parties: payment processors (transaction confirmations, subscription events), analytics providers (aggregated usage statistics), and social media profile information if you choose to connect an account.
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 Providing and improving Services: personalized content, progress tracking, core App functionality, recommendations, and service improvements based on usage patterns.
2.2 Subscription and payment management: processing payments, managing subscriptions and renewals, verifying tip completion for the 30-day money-back guarantee, and billing communications.
2.3 Communication and support: responding to inquiries, sending service notifications, delivering educational content with your consent, and requesting optional feedback.
2.4 Security and legal compliance: preventing fraud and abuse, enforcing our Terms, and complying with laws, regulations, court orders or government requests.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

- Contract performance: to provide the App and your subscription
- Legitimate interests: to secure, analyse and improve our Services

4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate the App:
- Payment processors: Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Stripe
- Cloud hosting providers, to store App data and content securely (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud)
- Privacy-focused analytics services
- Email service providers and customer support tools
All service providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for specified purposes. They cannot use your data for their own purposes. We may also disclose information in connection with a merger or acquisition, or where required by law.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
5.1 Retention periods:
- Active accounts: data retained while your account is active and for service provision
- After account deletion: personal data deleted within 30 days, except as noted below
- Transaction records: kept for 7 years to comply with tax and financial regulations
- Legal holds: data preserved if subject to legal disputes, investigations or obligations
- Backup systems: data may remain in backups for up to 90 days before permanent deletion
5.2 How to delete your data: go to App Settings > Privacy > Delete Account, or email [email protected] with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We permanently delete your personal information within 30 days, subscription access ends immediately, and previously downloaded printable materials remain on your device but cannot be re-downloaded.
6. Data Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact [email protected] immediately.
7. International Data Transfers
We are based in Cyprus (European Union), but our Services are available globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in the European Union (primary data storage), the United States (cloud service providers such as AWS and Google Cloud), and other countries where our service providers operate.
When transferring data outside the EU/EEA we ensure appropriate safeguards: EU Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, and additional safeguards such as encryption and access controls.
8. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
The App is intended for adults aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All child-related information is provided by a parent or guardian, is limited to what is needed to personalize content, and is parent-controlled.
Parents and guardians have the right to review all child-related information in their account, update or correct it, delete it at any time, and refuse to allow further collection. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected] or manage child information in your account settings.
If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from someone under 18, or information directly from a child under 13, we will immediately delete such information and terminate the account.
9. Your Privacy Rights
9.1 GDPR rights (EU/EEA residents): access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time.
9.2 CCPA rights (California residents): the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), without discrimination for exercising your rights.
9.3 Other US state privacy rights: residents of Virginia, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut and other states with privacy laws have similar rights.
9.4 How to exercise your rights: email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy Rights Request", or use Settings > Privacy > Data Rights in the App. We respond within 30 days (45 days for complex requests), verify your identity before processing requests, provide requested information free of charge, and explain if we cannot fulfil a request together with your appeal options.
10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use essential cookies (login and session management), analytics cookies, preference cookies and performance cookies. You can manage or withdraw your cookie consent at any time through the cookie banner on our website or your device and browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect functionality.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites, resources or services not controlled by us, including educational resources and articles, professional organizations and support groups, and recommended products or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites. This Privacy Policy applies only to our App and Services.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our data practices, new features or Services, legal or regulatory requirements, and user feedback. When we make material changes we will update the "Last Updated" date, notify you via email or in-app notification, and the changes will be effective immediately upon posting or on the specified date.

By using Uni you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy, that you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your information as described, that you understand your privacy rights and how to exercise them, that you are 18 years or older, and that all child-related information you provide is accurate and you have authority to share it.
